VITAL BROTHERS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ACADEMY is expanding its training space with an additional 1,300 square feet of brand-new mats expected by May 2025. This expansion responds to growing customer demand and will enhance the training experience for all students. The existing facilities are clean and well-maintained, providing a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth.
Training Programs
The academy offers a diverse range of training programs designed to cater to individuals of all ages and skill levels. These programs include:- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Classes are available in both Gi and No-Gi formats, providing a well-rounded understanding of the art.
- Muay Thai: Classes are taught by Coach Eric, who travels from Boise to share his expertise with both kids and adults.
- Kids' Classes: Programs start at age 3, with Little Rhinos (ages 3-6) designed to introduce young children to martial arts. Youth BJJ classes are also available.
- Self-Defense: Training emphasizes practical self-defense techniques, building confidence and awareness.
These programs are structured to promote self-defense skills, confidence-building, weight loss, discipline, and focus. VITAL BROTHERS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ACADEMY aims to empower individuals through martial arts training.
Class Schedule
Classes are primarily held during evening hours. The current schedule is:- Monday: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Tuesday: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Wednesday: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Thursday: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Professor JP Guevarra leads VITAL BROTHERS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ACADEMY. He began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2008 and received his Black Belt in October 2020 under Professor Renan Vital, the founder of Vital Brothers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in North Miami, Florida. Professor JP retired early from his previous career in 2024 to dedicate himself fully to the academy.
Muay Thai classes are led by Coach Eric, a dedicated instructor who travels from Boise to share his knowledge and passion for the sport.
The instructors at VITAL BROTHERS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ACADEMY have completed NCSI background checks and SafeSport training, ensuring a safe and secure training environment for all students.
Professor JP has competed in IBJJF, ADCC, Grappling X, and Grappling Industries events, achieving multiple team championship awards. His competitive experience informs his teaching methods and provides valuable insights for students.
