Peltz Boxing Promotions, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been the city's premier professional boxing promoter since 1969. Founded by J Russell Peltz, the gym launched with a sold-out event at the Blue Horizon featuring middleweights Bennie Briscoe and Tito Marshall. Peltz transformed the Spectrum into the East Coast's boxing hub, hosting historic fights like the 1976 WBC junior lightweight title bout that drew a record 16,019 spectators. The gym has nurtured legends such as Bennie Briscoe, Matthew Saad Muhammad, and Jeff Chandler, while promoting over 40 world championship contests, including Jason Sosa's 2016 WBA title win. Peltz, a Temple University graduate and International Boxing Hall of Famer, curates a rich collection of memorabilia, including rare fight programs and posters from iconic bouts like Hagler vs. Hearns and Duran vs. Viruet.
