Boxing Gyms in Central City

Duke It Out Boxing Club, located at 4528 Baldwin Blvd in Corpus Christi, Texas, started in 2018 with three boxers in Coach Duke's garage. By 2019, it became a 501(c)(3) non-profit with five coaches training around 40 boxers, including 23 competitive amateurs and 3 nationally ranked athletes. The gym provides a safe, bully-free environment to keep youth focused on discipline, confidence, and healthy habits through boxing.

Coaches, all seasoned volunteers, emphasize fundamentals, passion for the sport, and strong team bonds under the "Train Hard, Win Easy" philosophy. The gym hosts major events like the Junior Olympics (2022, 2023) and Golden Gloves (2019), with past guest speakers including Sugar Ray Leonard. Operating hours are Monday-Thursday (6:30 pm-8:00 pm), with varied Friday and Saturday hours.

With decades of boxing tradition, this family-owned and operated gym focuses on working with the community and helping one another. Baltazar Boxing Gym provides boxing lessons run by David Baltazar Jr., aiming to offer youngsters positive extracurricular activities with excellent ethic. The gym is open Monday through Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM. Baltazar Boxing Gym stands as a great place for kids.
