Victory Boxing Community Center

3009 R St, Omaha, NE 68107
Victory Boxing Community Center is a nonprofit Christian boxing club at 3009 R St in South Omaha, founded in 2005 by Reverend Servando Perales. Starting in his garage, it moved to its current location in 2007 and now serves 45-50 kids nightly as a safe haven for youth. Training begins at age 12, with separate sessions for those 19 and older, focusing on conditioning, heavy bag work, sparring, and mitt drills. Participants receive hand wraps after eight practices, with strict discipline enforced.

Beyond boxing, the center offers a Leadership Academy, computer classes, a teen game center, and planned cooking classes. Optional biweekly Bible studies reinforce Christian values. Female participants under 18 must have an adult present. Supported by community partners like CSC Group and UPS Omaha Community Foundation, the gym operates Monday-Thursday (5-7 p.m. for youth, 1-3 p.m. for adults). Membership costs $100/year for under 19 and $25/month for adults.

Reverend Perales, a former pro boxer, founded the center to provide alternatives to gangs, teaching discipline and self-control. The facility was fully paid off in 2018 with community support, including a $35,000 donation from Southridge Church.
